Ryan McGrath has officially joined HUSH's staff as its new head of production, after working with the team for a year on its Chevron Digital Experience project. He has spent the last decade on the agency and production circuit, creating multi-platform marketing campaigns, brand-sponsored events, installations, TV commercials, music videos and short films for clients such as Chevron, HBO, Warner Bros., Verizon, Harley-Davidson, THQ, CMT and Penguin USA.
New York-based creative editorial shop BlueRock has added John Maloney, previously at Red Car, to its roster. Maloney began his career in Los Angeles as a runner and assistant editor at Red Car before going freelance as a location scout, assistant director and production manager. He then moved back to editing and has since cut spots for clients such as Mercedes, AT&T, Coca-Cola, Verizon and American Express.
Provocation Entertainment has signed four filmmakers to its roster. Frank Hudec, a filmmaker and graphic novelist, wrote and directed indie film "Building Bombs" as well as directing numerous shorts and advertisements. Jim Tierney is a New York-based playwright/screenwriter in pre-production for his feature "Carry On" based on his play of the same title. Darryl Wharton-Rigby is a filmmaker, playwright, professor and poet whose short film, 'Obon,' is currently on the festival circuit and Eddie Daniels is an actress and lead singer of the all girl band The Nouveaux Riches.
Visual effects studio Light of Day has hired Kristen Barnard as head of production. She previously worked as a producer at JWT, BBDO and Darcy and oversaw campaigns for clients such as Microsoft, DeBeers, Energizer, AT&T, Huggies and General Mills.
