GSD&M has appointed Sean LaBounty and Hayden Gilbert as creative directors to partner on the Austin-based agency's newly acquired Walgreens account. LaBounty comes to GSD&M from DDB, where he was a freelance creative director and worked on clients such as Lotto, Powerball and Hertz. Prior to that, he was a creative director for three years at Young & Rubicam working on LG, Tiger Beer, Dell, Bacardi and Office Depot, and has worked at Wieden+Kennedy NY, Cliff Freeman, Leo Burnett NY and TBWA/Chiat/Day. Gilbert joins from The Richards Group, where he worked on brands including RAM Trucks and Russell Athletic. He has also worked at TM Advertising as associate creative director on American Airlines, Nationwide Insurance and the Dallas Film Society.
Blake Ebel, most recently chief creative officer at Factory Design Labs and previously co-CCO at Euro RSCG Chicago, has formed his own Denver-based creative boutique, Goodness Works. A portion of the agency's profits will be donated to charitable organizations. Ebel has worked on brands including The North Face, Audi, Callaway, Oakley, Bud Light, Orbitz.com, Jim Beam, Barilla, Kraft and more.
