LBi has appointed David Rosenberg to the new role of director of innovation, based in its New York office and reporting to Judith Carr, president of LBi US. He joins LBi from JWT, where he founded the emerging media group, serving as director of emerging media for the past five years and leading a team that created campaigns for clients such as Microsoft, Nestle, Kraft/Cadbury, Bloomberg and Domino's Pizza. He launched his career in emerging media in San Francisco, leading the EA Sports account for Odiorne Wilde Narraway + Partners.





New York-based animation production company Blacklist has signed French directorial and design collective Wizz for US representation. Wizz, which consists of more than 30 employees including two teams of production and post-production directors, and seven graphic artists, Flame artists and developers, has completed its first project with Blacklist, Big Dig for Yahoo! Mail via Goodby, Silverstein & Partners. Burrell Communications, the African-American marketing agency, has made four new hires at its Chicago headquarters including Robert Clifton, who joins as evp, executive creative director, to work primarily on McDonald's and Toyota. Clifton most recently worked as EVP, executive creative director at Campbell Mithun. Other new hires are Karen McDowell, previously director of marketing and communications at oral health company DentaQuest, who joins as group account director working on Pantene, Crest and Clairol Professional; Maria Moffitt, who joins as vp, group account director working on Olay, CoverGirl, My Black Is Beautiful and My Home Made Beautiful, having most recently served as principal of Atlanta-based LattimerMoffitt Communications; and Sharon Ali, previously director of merchandising solutions for Quaker Foods and Beverages, who joins as account director on the General Mills team.


East Pleasant Pictures has signed director Molly Schiot to its roster. She has worked on brands including Levi's, VH1, Nokia, Converse, Jack in the Box, PETA, Trident and Wal-Mart, as well as directing music videos for artists including Eliza Doolittle and Mark Ronson. She is also an illustrator, animator, photographer and painter.





Giannini Creative, a collective specializing in creative retouching, CGI for character development, animation and print, illustration and pre-media, has joined the Filmworkers group of creative services companies. Founded in 2000 by Scott Giannini (left), Giannini Creative has worked for clients including Harley Davidson, Oakley, Porsche, Altoids, Jim Beam, Proctor & Gamble, McDonald's and Allstate. The group has relocated to a new studio inside the Filmworkers facility in Chicago and pooled its resources with other companies in the group.






MPC's Los Angeles studio has promoted head of production (advertising) Andrew Bell to the role of managing director, a position previously filled by Mark Tobin. Bell joined MPC in 1999, and has been a senior producer since 2002. He has been head of production at the LA studio since its launch two years ago. Campaigns it has worked on include X-Box Halo and Puma BlamBlam!.





David Moranville has joined West Coast independent agency Davis Elen Advertising in the new position of chief creative officer. He was previously executive creative director for the firm and will retain the title of partner. Prior to Davis Elen, Moranville was managing partner and creative director for San Francisco-based Arnold Ingalls Moranville. Davis Elen's major clients include McDonald's, Toyota, GreatCall, OneWest Bank and Zynga.
