Uber Content has signed Lucia Aniello, the director behind viral spot 'Dollar Shave Club' and co-creator of the web-series Real Housewives of South Boston, for commercial representation in the US. In her latest commercial work, Aniello directed a spot for Bacardi through Blast Radius. She also co-wrote and directed a series of digital shorts for the Primetime Emmy Awards, as well as a collaborating on a spot for Audi starring Olivia Munn. Aniello directed The Paul Downs Syndrome, which was honored as 'Best of NY Sketch' in the New York Comedy Festival, a TONYs 'Critic's Pick' and featured in the 2011 Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal.
MassMarket has hired Fabien Coupez as senior flame artist and VFX supervisor. Coupez has over 14 years of experience in the visual effects realm working with companies such as MacGuff Ligne, Wizz, Premiere Heure, Digital District and Film Delux. He has worked with directors such as Bruno Aveillan, H5, Pleix, Stylewar, Harold Einstein and filmmaker Jan Kounen, with whom he worked on the film 99 Francs as well as a Peugeot-407 spot. His clients have ranged from fashion (Prada by Jean-Paul Goude, L'Oreal by No Brain) to cars (Audi by Sebastien Chantrel, BMW by Nico Beyer) to large brands (France Telecom by Daniel Askill, Lipton by Mike Maguire).
Chicago production and post house Radar Studios has added senior post producer Blake Nickle to its roster. For the past three years, Nickle produced various projects for Los Angeles company Rhythm & Hues, working on VFX for films like Moneyball, Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked, and the upcoming Life of Pi, directed by Ang Lee.
