MRB Productions, the Hollywood production company founded by Matthew Brady in 2001, has signed Chuchie Hill as a commercial director. The company worked with Hill on the production of the Brazilian JAMBOX music video ad campaign for Pereira & O'Dell, which starred Snoop Dogg and rapper Marcelo D2 and was commissioned by Jawbone. In addition to the JAMBOX video, Hill, a bilingual native of Palma de Mallorca, Spain, has filmed work including ad segments for Volvo and Guerlain, commercials for Heinz, Calvin Klein, Bud Light, and Durex and music vides for Antony & The Johnson's and Beyonce.
Airship Post, the LA-based sister company to Arcade Edit, has appointed Matthew Lydecker as creative director and lead artist. Lydecker has been in Los Angeles since 2003, working at finishing house Sea Level, Liquid FX, and most recently freelancing at VFX shops Superfad, Brand New School, D Train, Speed Shape, Psyop and MassMarket. He has worked on projects for brands such as Nike, Apple, BMW, Nintendo, Chevy, Adidas, and Honda.
Chicago based VFX studio Leviathan has appointed Nathan Davies as senior FX designer. Since leaving his post as a designer, animator and 3D lead for Shilo in 2009, Davies has been freelancing for top shops including Shilo, Digital Kitchen, Radar, Sol, Leviathan and others. At Shilo, he contributed to work including spots for Scion, EA, and Syfy. Earlier in his career he spent two years as a designer/animator for Outsider, a year with Sock Puppet Studios as lead animator, and two years with FLUX Group as a junior designer and animator.
