Director Johnny Green has joined the roster of production company RESET, whose directors include David Fincher, Guy Ritchie and Jonathan Glazer/Academy. Green's work includes a spot for Hennessy starring Manny Pacquiao with Droga 5, a Range Rover spot with RKCR/Y&R that imagines a Range Rover as the streaking effusion of the Large Hadron Collider, and a 60 second spot for Bacardi. His reel also includes spots for adidas, Audi, Mercedes, Royal Mail, Guinness, Nike and Honda. He also made Nyemka's Dream, an art film and book about a Mongolian wolf hunter-cum-ice-speedway rider.
Hollywood based commercial production company Uber Content has expanded to the East Coast, opening an office in New York. Michael Lobikis, whom Uber concurrently named as East Coast director of sales, will operate from the new office. Lobikis has repped both directors and editors at Go Film and Spot Welders, respectively. He also recently worked with The Brand Gallery, a boutique digital agency in NYC that specializes in brand strategy for television, for broadcast clients that included Showtime, Hearst-Argyle Television, ESPN and CBS. Uber Content has also signed three new directors: Charlie Todd, Lucia Aniello and Daniel Strange, to its roster.
Toronto agency Zulu Alpha Kilo has appointed Ari Elkouby as creative director. Elkouby was previously at Proximity Canada for five years as an assistant creative director and prior to that with Fallon in Minneapolis as a senior art director. He has won Cannes lions and One Show pencils in addition to local wins at Marketing, ADCC and the CMAs.
London based director Carolyn Corben has signed with TWC Films, Los Angeles for exclusive representation in the U.S. Corben has worked in both in the commercial and music video worlds,shooting for such brands as Fashion Target, Head and Shoulders, McArthur Glenn, Moschino, Swatch, and Debenhams for agencies such as Wieden& Kennedy, Grey Worldwide, Saatchi & Saatchi, Leo Burnett and Publicis as well as with artists such as Elton John, George Michael, and Rachel Stevens. Within her first year of directing, she was selected for the Saatchi & Saatchi new director's Showcase at Cannes.
Mary Mathaisell and Alaina Goetz have joined San Francisco collaborative design studio Bonfire Labs as head of production and creative director, respectively. Mathaisell was previously at AKQA, where she worked on digital campaigns for Gap and Target. While at Hybride, Goetz worked on feature films Shark Boy and Lava Girl and Sin City. She also held positions at Ntropic, Spy Post and Eveo's EvLa. Interactive and stereoscopic expert Goetz will draw on her VFX, design and commercial background, which includes creating content for Zynga's "Unleashed Event" and posts at Radium, Cutters, Hybride, Ntropic, Spy Post and Eveo.
