Ntropic has appointed Jim Riche as executive producer Jim Riche, and announced that it is also opening an office in New York. Riche, who joins the company from Digital Domain's commercial division, will be based in Ntropic's Los Angeles studio in Santa Monica. He has also worked at Troika Design Group, Broadcast Arts and Nice Shoes/Guava in New York. Meanwhile Ntropic's New York office has recruited EP Sharon Lew, who will handle business development/sales on the East Coast. Ntropic producer Kara Holstrom has moved from San Francisco to handle day-to-day management of New York, and the company will be naming a new creative director/VFX supervisor for the New York office soon.





Portland-based collective, Kamp Grizzly, which specializes in production, animation, branding, web design and humor, has joined Wild Plum for representation. Recent directorial credits include TV and web projects for Adidas, Target, Nike, Starbucks, and Oregon Lottery. Founded by Owner/CD/Director Daniel Portrait in 2005, Kamp Grizzly consists of nine full-time employees including directors, motion graphics artists, 3D & VFX artists, designers, and editors. Their work includes the 'Adicolor' three-spot campaign for Champs Sports and Adidas and a campaign for Adidas, All Originals, which broke last week.


The Sweet Shop has added Australian TV director Stuart McDonald to its roster. He has directed TV shows including Summer Heights High and more recently Angry Boys as well as working on the Foxtel series Tangle. For commercials, he is planning to focus on drama and comedy scripts.
