Alfonso Marian is joining OgilvyOne in New York as chief creative officer. He will report to North American chief creative officer Steve Simpson and partner with Mat Zucker, also chief creative officer for OgilvyOne. A direct marketing veteran in Spain, Marian joins Ogilvy from Shackleton, Madrid, where he spent the past seven years. He was won18 Cannes Lions for Direct, including a Grand Prix, five Cannes Lions for Promotion, 48 Echo DMA Awards, and 15 John Caples Awards. He also won the 2009 Irving Wunderman Award recognizing lifetime achievement. He began his career at CP Proximity in Madrid in 1994, before joining Shackelton in 2004.





Firstborn, the New York based digital shop, has promoted Kristin Keefe (left) from senior producer to executive producer. Keefe has been running the Wrigley account at Firstborn since 2010, overseeing the launch of multi-platform campaigns for brands including 5Gum, Orbit and Skittles. The agency has also hired Kim Manley as a producer. She has spent the past three years at Sarkissian Mason, NY, most recently as an account executive / senior producer, and has worked on digital projects including CNN, Unilever, and Zappos.





Grand Large, the production company based in New York and Paris, is opening a West Coast office in LA, led by Jonathan Miller as executive producer. Miller has recently returned from India where he was the head of studio operations for Reliance MediaWorks in Mumbai. He has served as executive producer of several LA production companies including as president of Image Point Productions and Harmony Pictures in the 1980s and 1990s. He was also managing director of Mutiny, the in-house production service company of TBWA/Chiat/Day LA from 2001 to 2004.

Santa Monica-based interactive agency Blitz has made several new appointments. Tamer Kattan joins as head of strategy, having previously worked at Deutsch, TBWA Chiat/Day, Young & Rubicam and BBDO. Wilson Yin, who comes on board as creative director, previously spent 14 years at Genex working on automotive brands such as Ford, Honda and Acura. Amanda Lewis and Anne Butcher both join as associate creative directors. Lewis previously worked at Razorfish on Intel and Mattel while Butcher has copywriting experience at Saatchi & Saatchi, Ogilvy & Mather, Goodby, Silverstein & Partners and AKQA. Also new are Bobbie Boucher, who joins as group director, technology, and most recently worked at Huge and CP+B, and Peter Brine, group account director, who was formerly with Added Value.
