Cut+Run has appointed Leila Bartlam as managing director of the editing company's London office. Bartlam moves from her role as head of TV at creative agency Adam & Eve, where she oversaw work including the much-awarded John Lewis spot "The Long Wait." She had worked in that role since 2009.
Hello! & Company has added Nick Spooner to its roster as a director. He has directed commercials for the Boston Bruins, Yoplait, Ford, and last year's California Tourism campaign for Mering-Carson. Spooner has also written, produced and directed for Comedy Central's On-Air Promotions department and directed promos for cable networks including MTV, Mtv2, VH1, ESPN and ESPN2. He started his career at Ogilvy & Mather.
Barcelona-born director Ruben Latre has signed with Story for exclusive representation in the United States. His work in advertising includes US. and European campaigns for Y&R, Leo Burnett, McCann and Global Hue, and clients including Spanish construction firm Sacyr Vallehermoso and Biomasa and European energy firm Iberdrola. Most recently, his spot "Pioneer" for US. heath-care provider TMG Health was short-listed for Best Cinematography at the 2012 AICP Awards. Latre, who lives in New York City, last year directed a short film for the new National Museum of Hip-Hop in New York, via Global Hue.
Dallas post-production company Lucky Post has hired Jessica Berry as executive producer. Berry worked as an agency producer including at Texas agencies The Richards Group and GSD&M before moving into creative representation at The Gossip Company, which she founded with Alyson Griffith in 2007. Griffith will continue to represent Lucky Post in the Texas market as Berry assumes the EP role. Lucky Post officially opened in May of this year; projects include campaigns for MetroPCS, Best Friends, RAM, D Magazine, Firestone and more.
Pleasant Post has added colorist Tristan Kneschke to its team. Kneschke has collaborated with Pleasant as a freelance for several years including on its recent campaigns for Royal Caribbean, Lenovo and GM. Kneschke, who is also an offline editor, has also worked on spots for Pepsi, Trojan Condoms, Cheerios, Citibank, Converse, Budweiser, Louis Vuitton, Nike, Microsoft Zune and Google, and with agencies including Crispin Porter + Bogusky, McCann Erickson, JWT, Dentsu, Laird+Partners, Digitas and Vice.
