New York and California-based creative production company Shilo has appointed Brad Tucker as creative director and director based in La Jolla. Tucker joins Shilo from Stardust Studios, where he began in 2003 as an art director and has served as creative director since 2007. He has contributed to projects for Buck, Brand New School, Logan and Stardust, directing spots for brands such as Anheuser-Busch, Dodge, Icebreakers, MAC Cosmetics, Panasonic, Pontiac, RadioShack, and Target. He also teaches Motion Design at CalArts.

London animation company Studio AKA has joined New York-based Blacklist's international roster of directors. Studio AKA director Christopher Gray worked with Blacklist on creating the opening sequence for last week's 2012 AICP Show & Next Awards, and also completed a project for Hertz together earlier this year. Studio AKA's work includes commercial projects for brands such as Lloyds TSB Bank, BBC, Guinness and BUPA,as well as short films, including director Grand Orchard's Oscar nominated, BAFTA & Sundance Prize-winner A Morning Stroll.

French production house Quad has formed a new partnership with Nicholas Berglund, a boutique creative company based in Paris. Nicholas Berglund has signed on to develop the international market for all media platforms, and handle foreign requests for Quad. Quad's work includes commercials such as "'Odyssey' for Cartier, and 'A Journey' for Louis Vuitton, directed by Bruno Aveillan.

Austin, Texas-based agency GSD&M has promoted Robert Lin and Jeff Maki to group creative directors, overseeing creative on the agency's Marshalls, Jarritos, Victoria and Pacifico accounts. Lin joined GSD&M in 2005 as an associate creative director on the Chili's Grill & Bar account and has worked on campaigns for BMW, Kohler and the recent launch of Jarritos Mexican soda to the U.S. Market. Prior to GSD&M, he was a senior art director at The Richards Group. Maki has been with the agency since 2005 after joining as associate creative director on the AT&T business, and has created work for Kohler, BMW and Legacy's EX effort. Prior to GSD&M, he was a copywriter at TBWA/Chiat/Day.
