California based Vitro has merged with the NYC Shop SKINNY to become Vitro. SKINNY's office becomes Vitro New York. The agency's combined client list will include ASICS, Newcastle Brown Ale, P.F Chang's Asian Bistro, Target, Ralph Lauren, Clarisonic, Diageo, Nokia, ALDO and WIRED. Vitro Principal Tom Sullivan (pictured, left) is now CEO of Vitro, while SKINNY's two co-founders Liron Reznik and Jonas Hallberg are now chief creative officers. Executive creative director John Vitro is now creative chairman of Vitro.
Slim Pictures has added director Ludovic Schorno to its roster. Swiss-born Schorno has shot commercials for clients including American Express, Coca-Cola, Microsoft, HP and Cellular South and has worked at shops including Imaginary Forces and Brand New School. He has also created visuals for Nissan and Coca-Cola plus network branding solutions for ESPN, Fuel TV and D-Life (Japan).
Branding and content creation company Gravity has named Alex Postelnicu as creative director. Postelnicu has design and VFX experience working with design studios such as Psyop, Brand New School, Imaginary Forces, Superfad, Mass Market, and Digital Kitchen as well as agencies inclucing Publicis, AY&R, Sapient and WeArePlus. He has worked on projects for such accounts as VW, Samsung, HP, Axe, Verizon, Ritz, Toyota, Dodge, Porsche, Chase, NYSE, Zurich Financial and MoMA.
aWHITELABELproduct has signed director Alison Chernick for global representation. Chernick is known for her feature length documentaries and short films including The Jeff Koons Show and Matthew Barney: No Restraint. She has directed several mini-films about iconic art and design personalities such as Julian Schnabel, Marc Newson, Jeffrey Deitch, Pedro Almodovar and El Bulli, the infamous restaurant in Spain. On the commercial side she has directed a BMW spot featuring author Glenn O'Brien.
New York based Animation Production company Blacklist has added director Saiman Chow to its roster for US representation. Brooklyn-based Chow has just completed his first spot with Blacklist for Ray-Ban via Marcel, Paris, a stop-motion spot based on an existing print ad for Ray-Ban featuring nesting dolls.. He has previously worked on projects for clients such as Adidas, VH1, MTV, Fuel and Nike.
