TBWA/Shanghai has hired Ong Kien Hoe as group creative director. He brings more than 10 years of experience to the role, including at Saatchi & Saatchi and Ogilvy in both Malaysia and China, and has worked on brands including Unilever, Lee Jeans, Toyota, Lexus, Volkswagen, Guinness, Tiger Beer, Nippon Paint, Samsung, Sony, Kraft, Mead Johnson, Dumex, Procter and Gamble, Standard Chartered Bank, Starbucks, Telekom Malaysia and Lenscrafters.

He has also won awards at Cannes Lions, One Show, D&AD, the Clio Awards, ADFEST, Spikes Asia, Australia's 'Award' Awards and London International. Last week, the group also appointed digital specialist Dwayne Koh as group creative director at TEQUILA/Shanghai.



Los Angeles-based Boxer Films has signed writing and directing team The Real McCoys, comprising Sean Mullens and Nelson Cabrera. The pair will be represented by Boxer in both the U.S. and Hispanic markets for spots, interactive, branded entertainment and television. Their work has netted Gold, Silver and Bronze Lions Cannes Lions, four Gold Clios, eight ANDY Awards and two Emmy Awards. Mullens is a former creative director at FCB, San Francisco, and has directed spots for clients including ESPN, Verizon, Atari and McDonald's. Cabrera, known for his multicultural work, has directed spots for brands including Mini Cooper, Geico, Ford and VW.


Chelsea, the New York based media company owned and operated by Allison Amon and Lisa Mehling, has added director Jack Cole to its roster. Cole has directed spots for clients such as Reebok, Panasonic, Subaru, and most recently Stride Gum. He began his directing career as one half of duo Liff, whose work was nominated for the Newcomer Award at the Soho Rushes Shorts Festival, screened at the onedotzero Film Festival, and short-listed for the Nike Young Directors Award.





Wild(child) Editorial/NY and Resident Creative Studio, its creative production/CGI sister company, have signed Isabel Echeverry for national representation in US Hispanic market. Echeverry, who heads up Kontakto Reps/Miami, will introduce both companies and their collaborative staff of editors, designers, directors, CGI artists, and creative directors to the national Hispanic advertising community.
