The creative team behind satirical news organization The Onion is now available to work on advertising projects across multiple platforms through Tool of North America. The team will work under the banner Lucky the Chimp and is already onto a web-based campaign for a major telecom brand. The Onion's accolades include a Peabody Award, the Thurber Prize for American Humor and over 20 Webby Awards.




Park Pictures announced that it will be opening a new office in London. The new hub will launch on January 1, 2011 and will be run by Executive Producer Stephen Brierley, former head of production at Stink.

Director Frederic Planchon has signed to the roster of Anonymous Content for commercial and film representation. Planchon was previously repped out of Academy in the U.S. and has directed award-winning work for a number of high profile brands, including Orange, Coca-Cola, HP, Jeep, Nintendo, Vodafone, HP and others.





Director/DP Matt Goodman has signed to Bandito Brothers for exclusive U.S. spot representation. Goodman is a two-time Emmy nominee whose commercial credits include spots for Geico, Oakley, Cartoon Network, Kaiser Permanente and Nike, among others. His first job out of Bandito is an ad campaign and doc film sponsored by Vitamin Water. Goodman's longform credits include Tony Hawk's Gigantic Skate Park Tour, for ESPN Films, 1000 Places to See Before You Die for Discovery/Travel Channel and KOS The King of Skate for Redline Entertainment. Goodman was previously repped out of Plum Pictures/Wild Plum.




Santiago, Chile-based motion design studio SMOG (Santiago Motion Graphics) has signed to the roster of Duck. Smog is run by partners Moisés Arancibia and Pablo González and has worked with agencies like Ogilvy & Mather, JWT, Grey, Low Porta and others. Client creds include Central Bank of Chile, Santander Bank, Carmen Winery, Rally Moibl, UNICEF, Hasbro and 3M.





Cleveland agency Brokaw announced new hires to its creative team: Savannah College of Art and Design grad Jon Wiley signs on as motion designer, to lead Brokaw's 3D digital animation studio; Patricia DiFranco comes on board as copywriter, from McCann Erickson, N.Y., where she worked on Mastercard and Goodyear; Wes Jones joins as senior digital art director, from Liggett Stashower, Cleveland and will work on everything from traditional art direction to digital motion graphic design as part of Brokaw Motion, the agency's in-house digital production arm.
