Park Pictures has formed a narrative feature company, Park Pictures Features, with independent film writer/director Galt Niederhoffer and producer Sam Bisbee. Park Pictures Features' first project will be the family comedy, Robot & Frank, starring Frank Langella, Susan Sarandon, James Marsden, Liv Tyler, Jeremy Strong and Liev Schreiber. The film marks the feature film directorial debut of Park Pictures' director Jake Schreier. Park Features' next projects are the directorial debut of Lance Acord, and a new project from British director, Ringan Ledwidge.
David & Goliath has made two new hires. Gary du Toit joins as creative director and Nels Dielman (pictured, left) as digital creative director, both working on the Kia account. Du Toit and Dielman will report to D&G's executive creative director, Colin Jeffery. Prior to D&G, du Toit was Global Creative Director for Dove Skincare at Ogilvy London. Before that, du Toit spent time at Taxi in Toronto, as well as Net#work BBDO and TBWA Hunt Lascaris in Johannesburg. Dielman was previusly Executive Creative Director at Speedshape in LA. Before that, he was Art Director at Team One working on the Lexus account.
Director and animator Stefan Nadelman has joined Bent Image Lab, the Oregon-based production company and creative lab. Nadelman's recent animation work includes Nike's Write the Future, The Ghetto Film School, the documentary American Teacher and the film Connected: A Declaration of Interdependence . He has also directed spots for HBO, VH1, ESPN, Mike&Ike, and AT&T, among others.
Hello & Co.has signed director Marcus McCollum to its roster. Previously with Crossroads Films for six years, his work includes comedic spots for brands such as Toyota, Hershey's, Honda, Turbo Tax and Time Warner and he has worked with creative agencies such as Leo Burnett, Saatchi & Saatchi, and Whiskey Tango, a creative collaboration based agency in Seattle.
Deutsch New York has hired Mike Shackle as SVP, group creative director on its Microsoft account. Shackle was most recently executive creative director at BBH New York, where he led creative for the global Vaseline and Ally Bank accounts. Prior to BBH, he worked as ECD at Y&R Enfatico in Beijing on the Land Rover account, for which he helped win the agency its first Cannes Lion. Shackle also spent a decade in Singapore, including at McCann-Erickson Singapore, Ronin, and TBWA/Tequila.
