Barratt moves from Sapient Interactive, N.Y., where she was managing director for two years. Before Sapient, Barratt was at Euro RSCG for a decade. There she served several roles, including MD of Euro RSCG Hong Kong and MD of Euro RSCG 4D NY, and worked on clients like Intel, Microsoft, Volvo, Citbank and Disney.













Mark Waggoner has been named ECD at Razorfish. Waggoner will be based in Portland, Oregon and will lead creative for the agency's west coast offices, for clients like Microsoft and Miller Coors. Prior to Razorfish Waggoner worked at Wieden + Kennedy and Sandstrom Partners.

The Royal College of Art has named internationally renowned designer and all-around creative man Neville Brody the new head of the school's Department of Communication Art & Design. He will assume the position on January 1, 2011, succeeding the retiring Professor Dan Fern. Brody will help the Royal College of Art explore new directions in the fast evolving field of communications. His appointment represents the college's aim to maintain its relevance within communications and beyond.















The Academy of Art University named veteran creative talents Roland Young and Ellen Shakespeare Co-Directors of its School of Advertising. Young was previously on the faculty of the Academy's School of Graphic Design, while Shakespeare was previously an instructor at Art Center College of Design. Young is a graphic designer veteran and also consults at Meryl Pollen Design and for Paper Design magazine in Taiwan. Shakespeare is a freelance copywriter and has worked with shops like Goodby, Hal Riney and Cole & Weber. Young and Shakespeare succeed Melinda Mettler, who was recently named to the newly created role of Director of Online Programs for the Academy.



Wieden + Kennedy, N.Y. has hired Karen Monahan as its director of digital production. Monahan moved from BBH, where she oversaw production on integrated campaigns like Axe's "100 Girls," and "Rise." Prior to BBH she was MD at the New York office of Perfect Fools, EP at R/GA and director of production at Big Spaceship. Prior to advertising, Monahan served as assistant chair of the digital design department at Parsons School of Design.
