B-Reel has hired Brian Rekasis, Hector Muelas, Ricardo Viramontes and and has also formed a new content division, to be headed by fellow new hire Arrow Kruse. Rekasis (pictured, second from right) takes the role of executive producer/SVP while Muelas (far left) and Viramontes (center left) will take the role of creative directors. Rekasis has previously headed Crispin, Porter & Bogusky's entertainment & new media division,and was a founding partner and managing director of Goodness Mfg. Muelas has worked as editor-in-chief and creative director of VICE in Central Europe and senior creative at Wieden + Kennedy Amsterdam, while Viramontes spent eight years as a senior creative at Wieden + Kennedy New York and BSSP in San Francisco. The duo worked together at Creative Artists Agency on Chipotle's "Back To The Start", winner of the branded entertainment Grand Prix at Cannes. Kruse, (far right), who takes the role of executive producer / managing director of B-Reel Content, will manage the new division, based in Los Angeles, alongside founding partner/executive producer Pelle Nilsson. Kruse has been a senior freelance producer and head of production for agencies in the US such as CAA, McCann/Amsteryard, JWT, Anomaly, GSD&M, Berlin Cameron, and Deutsch, over the last 12 years.




CHI & Partners NY has appointed Dana May as head of production. May, who joins after a short stint in the freelance market, began her career at JWT & Ogilvy and is known for work on Puma with Droga5 including winning the Cannes Lions Grand Prix for Puma Social "After Hours Athlete". Other work includes producing for Activision, Google, Budweiser, eMusic and RIF "Reading is Fundamental."





72andSunny has hired Gui Borchert as creative director. Borchert previously worked at Fallon London, where he created campaigns for Orange. He has also worked for Syrup NYC, Mother NY and R/GA New York where his work included a Titanium Lion-winning Nike+ campaign. He started his career as a design and art director in his native Brazil.





Station Film has signed Gabriel Olson for US representation. Olson's work includes spots for GM, Coke Zero, Nike, Toyota, Nokia, Babies R Us, Foster's Beer and Best Buy. He worked as creative assistant for Malcolm Venville and for Ogilvy-Mather-Advertising' class='directory_entry' title='Ad Age LookBook'>Ogilvy & Mather, Singapore writing web content for Coke Zero, before moving into directing full time.





John Gagne, previously executive creative director at Proximity Canada, has been named ECD of Atmosphere Proximity, New York. He has also assumed the responsibility of Global Digital ECD onthe Gillette brand for Proximity Worldwide. Gagne will work in partnership with Stewart Krull, who has recently been promoted to EVP, ECD of Atmosphere Proximity, to drive the creative leadership in the agency. The agency has also promoted Joel Bloom and Terje Vist to creative director level.



Jordi Bares has joined London post production studio as deputy creative director. Bares was previously 3D creative director at The Mill, London, and has worked on campaigns for Adidas, Citroen, Guinness, Heineken, Levi's, LG, Nike, Philips, Sony and videos for Radiohead. He has worked with artificial intelligence software on creating crowds in ads including Frank Budgen's "Mountain" for Playstation and Guy Ritchie's "Next Level" spot for Nike.





Jonathan Keeton has joied collaborative design studio Bonfire Labs as executive creative director. Keeton comes to Bonfire from Pixomondo where he was ECD for the US commercial division. He co-founded Radium and Western Images, and founded Good Pictures, in addition to holding various other positions at Varitel Video and Quantel. Bonfire has also hired Tom Leonard as director of business development. He has worked as a freelance producer as well as for Western Images, Rhythm & Hues and Digital Kitchen.
