Digital creative agency The Barbarian Group has appointed Edu Pou as executive creative director. Pou, who will report to CEO Sophie Kelly, moves to the New York-based agency after seven years at Wieden & Kennedy Amsterdam. He was head of creative innovation, and before that creative director on global accounts including Heineken, Coca-Cola, Electronic Arts, and Nokia. Before joining W+K Amsterdam, Pou worked at CP&B, and at DoubleYou Barcelona and Madrid. His awards include Cannes Lions, One Show Pencils and Clios. At The Barbarian Group, majority owned by Cheil Worldwide, Pou will be responsible for leading creative across all accounts.
Sid Lee New York has promoted Dan Brooks and Daniel Chandler to co-executive creative directors after five years at the agency. The creative duo (pictured here with Kwame Taylor-Hayford, Sid Lee head of digital, with whom they work closely ) have led creative for Sid Lee clients Absolut, Facebook, Intel and others. Their previous work includes Adidas' "Take the Stage" London Olympics campaign, and projects for Sony Playstation, Rolex, Vodafone and Volkswagen.
Pereira & O'Dell has promoted art directors Tim Delger and Brett Beaty to associate creative directors in its San Francisco office. Delger, who worked on Skype's "Stay Together," and Beaty, whose work includes Intel's "The Power Inside," have both recently received awards from Cannes Lions, The One Show and the Clios. Beaty was also ranked as one of the Top 10 Art Directors in the world by the Cannes Report, published last week by Cannes Lions.
U.K. digital agency Holler, part of the Leo Burnett Group, has appointed Joel Lim to creative director. Lim joins from Engine's social media shop Jam, where he was associate creative director. His work at Jam included the Xbox "Play Like a Legend" campaign and the "Tap to Give" project for the Philippines Typhoon Appeal. Before joining Jam, Lim was associate creative director at Weapon7 and held the same post at Tribal DDB Malaysia. In his new role he will report to Will Pyne, Holler's global executive creative director.
Toronto-based agency Transcend3 has hired Lisa McCoy as co-creative director. McCoy joins from Watt International, where she served as design director, responsible for a number of retail campaigns, as well as store design and branding projects for clients including Haagen-Dazs in Berlin, McDonald's and Canadian Tire in Canada.
