Station Film has added director Jonathan Hyde to its roster for commercial representation globally, including London partner Outsider for the U.K. His work includes Mitsubishi "Big Night Out" via 180 LA, and Corona "Live Mas Fina," via Zulu Alpha Kilo Toronto. He has also directed spots for Levi's, Converse, Pepsi, Puma, Pentax and Ford. As part of his collaboration with Levi's and Wieden+Kennedy, Hyde volunteered with Levi's Film Workshop, a community pop-up space to help young artists create films held during MOCA's "Art in the Streets" exhibition.
Directing collective Everynone has split and gone two separate ways. Epoch Films has signed The Mercadantes (Daniel Mercadante and Katina Hubbard) who recently directed Apple's launch of the iPhone 5c ("Greetings") and have new campaigns for Facebook (Wieden & Kennedy) and Chevrolet (Commonwealth) coming this month. They met three ago years while shooting Prudential's "Day One" campaign for Droga5. Since then they have helmed Apple "Every Day" Campaign, andspots for brands including Volkswagen and Levis. Meanwhile the other half of Everynone, Hoffman/Metoyer, whose reel includes spots like Dove's "Camera Shy," Volkswagen "Smiles" and Apple "Facetime," has signed with MJZ.
Wondros has signed Icelandic duo Arni & Kinski for commercial representation. Arni & Kinski's experience includes directing Levi's Kiss, as well as work for brands such as Acura, Cadillac, Nissan, Mercedes-Benz, Macy's, Old Navy, JCPenney, Sealy, US Army, John Hancock, Budweiser, Coors, Milk, and Dentyne. They have also worked on collaborations with with fellow Icelandic musical artists Jonsi and Sigur Ros.
California Amish has added documentary film director and editor Lily Henderson to its roster. Henderson's clients have included Current TV, Ogilvy Entertainment, AOL, the BBC, Huffington Post and the Biography Channel. Her work includes documentaries for IBM's Smarter Planet series.She was a member and co-organizer of the Brooklyn Filmmakers Collective for six years.
Elastic has added designer/director Patrick Clair to its studio roster. As creative head of Antibody in Sydney, Clair has worked across advertising, production, broadcast design and music television, producing work for MTV, NBC, ABC, TEDx and Ubisoft's Tom Clancy series. For his first project with Elastic, Clair created the opening title sequence for HBO drama, True Detective. He is also currently working on the main title for Halt and Catch Fire, a new drama about the personal computing boom in the 1980s premiering later this year on AMC.
L.A. based Uber Content has signed Australian director Scott Pickett to its roster. Pickett has shot over 50 humor-driven campaigns for the likes of McDonalds, Skittles, and Coca-Cola. His commercial work has won a Gold Clio and Bronze One Show (for Aldi) and a Cannes Bronze Lion for Lambassador. He recently directed three episodes of The Moodys in Australia, as well as the sketch show, The Elegant Gentleman's Guide to Knife Fighting.
Wildchild has added editors Richard Mettler and Stewart Shevin to its roster. Mettler most recently completed the music video for Beyonce's single, "Mine," featuring Drake and directed by Pierre Debusschere. He has worked on spots for Cartier, Nike, Mercedes, Cadillac, L'oreal, Maybelline, Volkswagen, Lenscrafters and Mastercard. Shevin, who joins from Beast Editorial, has worked Toyota, Philips, Ford, Chevy, Navy and Discover Card winning many awards, most recently for his work on King Condoms "Protect Yourself". He has been a board member and Chapter President of the AICE for 8 years.
Pulse Films has signed Australian director-duo The Apiary (Lily Coates and Gavin Youngs). Their portfolio has included work for The Australian Ballet, National Gallery of Victoria, STUDIO TV, Lingerie label Light Years, Arts Victoria, Rogerseller, AFAR Media, The Avant/Garde Diaries and Wayne McGregor's Random Dance.
Blink has signed Spanish director and founder of directing collective Canada Luis Cervero to its roster. Originally from Barcelona, Cervero has worked in art-television programming, creating visuals for museums and directing commercials, founding Canada in 2008. His commercials career includes the international campaign for Sony Xperia with McCann London, Adidas' film for the London Olympics starring hip-hop star Wretch 32, and the relaunch of Internet retailers Very.co.uk.
Click 3X has hired Mauricio Aguayo as director of digital strategy. Prior to joining Click 3X, he worked at full-service digital agency, Rokkan, and prior to that, at social marketing agency, M80. He brings more than seven years experience in digital media and content marketing, working with brands including Stoli Vodka, Ford Motor Company, Anthem-Blue Cross Blue Shield, Sharp Electronics and GlaxoSmithKline.
