Park Pictures has signed Tom Tagholm, director of Channel 4's Meet The Superhumans, for joint US and UK representation. Most recently signed to Blink, he left his role as network creative director at Channel 4 in 2012. More recent work has included spots for Marie Curie and Anchor, as well as a short film, The Parachutist.
B-Reel has recruited Andy Williams as managing director and executive producer in its New York office. Williams was previously director of digital strategy at Barton F. Graf 9000, and prior to that at 72andSunny, where he worked on clients such as Activision, Target, Google, Samsung, Anheuser Busch, Carl's Jr and Sonos. Other roles have included strategy director at Resn where he helped create work for Google, Toyota, Puma, Dominos and MySpace. His work has been recognized by The Webbys, One Show, SXSW, The FWA and AIMIA.
Tool is promoting four of its senior digital staff to the roles of creative director. ACD/digital art director Michael Sevilla, creative technologist Bartek Drozdz, ACD/digital art director Matt Gase, and senior interactive developer Patrick Gunderson will each take on the title. The new CDs will work in two teams,comprising Sevilla/Drozdz and Gase/Gunderson, pairing interactive design and development.
Bi-coastal editorial house Arcade Edit is expanding with the launch of new sister company, Timber, headed up by creative directors Jonah Hall and Kevin Lau (pictured, left and right with Arcade Edit MD Damian Stevens, center). Arcade's current finishing division, Airship, will be absorbed into Timber and the new shop will offer services including design, concept, animation, compositing, effects, graphics, pre-visualization and color services. Hall worked at in VFX at Digital Domain, Mirada and Asylum before setting up Timber, while Lau worked as a designer and creative director at Brand New School, Superfad and Motion Theory. Timber has already been responsible for design and digital post production work on campaigns including Hyundai Genesis' "Dad's Sixth Sense" Super Bowl spot.
Brand New School has named long-time in-house contributor Robert Bisi as creative director/director. Bisi started at Brand New School as a freelancer in 2005, and has evolved from designer and 3D generalist to art director and live-action director. His worked has included the Cannes shortlisted eBay Toys for Tots installation, promos for Toyota, and work for Old Navy (Funnovations).
BLVD has signed Andrea Ball to its commercial directorial roster. After selling her thesis film, "Beats Per Minute", to iTunes for distribution, Ball launched her career assisting commercial and music video artist Samuel Bayer. Her work inculdes commercials for Chevy, AT&T and Playstation, with her most recent commercial PlayStation's "Criminal".
Santa Monica production company Detour Films has signed Jordan Kelley for exclusive commercial representation in the U.S.. Kelley got his start in filming action sports, and his commercial work has included a campaign for Dr. Martens x Pendleton.
Lost Highway Films has signed reps Deirdre Rymer (left) and Rachel Paget of Blush Creative Representation to handle new business development and PR responsibilities on the West Coast. Blush represents the LHF roster comprised of Todd Bellanca, Carolyn Chen, Eddy Chu, Mat Fuller, Andrea Jako Giacomini, Robin Hays and Michael Patterson.
