San Francisco-based EVB has promoted creative director Troy Burrows to executive creative director, replacing partner/ECD Steve Babcock, who left the agency last month and is now freelancing in Boulder, CO. The move is part of a reshuffle that also sees group account director Steve Barry move to the newly-created position of managing director. Burrows joined EVB in spring of 2014, and his work has spanned both its Boulder and Oakland offices. He has worked on several of EVB's new business wins, including Jameson Irish Whiskey, SunChips, Ebates, Hipmunk and Hot Wheels. Prior to EVB, Burrows worked at shops including FCB, Creature, and CP&B, where he created work for Sharpie, DiGiorno Pizza, Dickies and the Seattle Office of Film & Music.
Omelet has hired Dan Ruth, executive producer at 72andSunny, as chief production officer. While at 72andSunny, Ruth worked on Activision and led production on spots for games like Call of Duty, Destiny, and Skylanders. He has 12 years of agency experience, including CP&B, and has worked on brands including Burger King, Volkswagen, and ESPN.
Wongdoody Seattle has appointed Mishy Cass as associate creative director. Cass has previously worked with Wongdoody in a freelance capacity on campaigns including Amazon Fire TV starring Gary Busey, and Amazon Kindle Voyage. She now joins Wongdoody full time to work with the Amazon team. Cass has over twenty years of experience as both an art director and creative director, working with Seattle shops from Publicis to Wexley School for Girls, and clients including Nike and T-Mobile.
Mullen Lowe New York has appointed creative team Amy Ferguson and Julia Neumann to work on JetBlue. Neumann has worked at Y&R NY, Wieden & Kennedy Portland and NY, and Bartle Bogle Hegarty NY. Her work includes "Pathological Liar," for Land Rover and she earned a Gold Lion at Cannes for "The Last Family Portrait," for WaterIsLife. Ferguson was most recently a freelancer and prior to that held positions at TBWA/Chiat/Day NY and Grey New York, where she worked on campaigns including E-Trade's famous "Talking Baby."
GSD&M has promoted creative directors Tom Hamling and Tim Eger to group creative directors, overseeing all creative for the Hilton Global Portfolio, as well as Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, and Avocados from Mexico at the Austin-based agency. Prior to GSD&M, Hamling was VP/creative director at RPA in Los Angeles and Eger was a creative director at CP&B. Their work includes a campaign for Radio Shack that won a Cannes Lion in 2014.
