Barbarian, formerly known as The Barbarian Group, is hiring Leo Leone as executive creative director. He joins the agency from Edelman Digital where he was senior vice president, executive creative director working across Samsung and the Hawaii Visitors Convention Bureau. Before joining Edelman, he was executive creative director at MRY where his work included the Make it. Creative Cloud brand platform for Adobe, work for Coca-Cola that earned Webby honors, and the ATT "It Can Wait" that also earned awards at the Webbys. Earlier, he served as group creative director at LBi and associate creative director at Tribal DDB.
Beauty and fashion agency Select World is appointing Hans Dorsinville as chief creative officer for North America. Dorsinville will co-manage the New York office with Sabrina Yu, managing director, New York. He joins from Laird + Partners, where he has been partner, executive VP and senior group creative director since the agency's inception in 2002. He has worked on luxury and mass consumer brands in fashion and beauty such as Donna Karan/DKNY, Bottega Veneta, Ermenegildo Zegna, Estee Lauder, Coty, Tommy Hilfiger and Lane Bryant.
FCB Milan is hiring Fabio Bianchi and Francesco Bozza as managing partner and chief creative officer respectively. They will work with the existing leadership team of FCB's Italian office, which includes Managing Director Giorgia Francescato, Executive Creative Director Fabio Teodori and Chief Financial Officer Andrea Tessarin. Both join from Leo Burnett Italy; Bozza has held the role of executive creative director there since 2013, prior to which his experience included time as CEO and executive creative director at Bcube and creative director at Lowe. Bianchi was formerly managing director at Leo Burnett Italy and has over 20 years of agency experience.
San Francisco agency Cutwater is appointing Toby Petersen as associate creative director/art director. He will work with Brawny, Sparkle and several other clients. Previously, he served as creative director at San Fransisco-based Gyro and as a motion graphic designer at Fuel TV. In his roles, he created campaigns and content for brands including Cisco, Toshiba, Visa and HP.
Kalle Hellzen is joining Amsterdam agency 180 Kingsday in the role of executive creative director. Hellzen arrives from Los Angeles where he served as executive creative director at R/GA. Previously he established the creative arm of ACNE in the U.S. as partner, creative director and director. He also held executive creative and innovation positions at game development studio Toca Boca and Goodby Silverstein & Partners.
