RKCR/Y&R has hired Jonathan Burley as the agency's first chief creative officer. Burley most recently worked with CHI & Partners where he led the creative output for the last six years. Burley will work across the U.K. client base. Burley has worked on campaigns for The Sunday Times, Samsung, British Gas, Argos, Lexus, The Prince's Trust, TalkTalk, Shelter, and McDonald's. Burley earned a Gold Creative Effectiveness Lions at Cannes for his McDonald's "Trust" campaign.
Creative Agency XXS Amsterdam has added Paul van Uden and Anne-Maro Huberts to its creative team. Prior to XXS Amsterdam, Van Uden and Huberts were on the rosters of Grey Benelux, J. Walter Thompson and Impact BBDO Dubai.
There, they worked on campaigns for Volvo, Hendrick's Gin and Johnson & Johnson. In May, former creative directors of FHV BBDO John de Vries and René Verbong, also joined XXS Amsterdam.
TBWA/Chiat/Day today elevated Director of Digital Strategy and Content Planning Aki Spicer, to the newly created role of chief digital officer. The agency also announced that it has elevated Executive Director of Engagement Evan Weissbrot to chief engagement officer. Additionally, the agency has hired Trish Schmitt and Ted Guidotti as global creative directors, and promoted Group Executive Producer Jason Souter to head of integrated production.
Spicer joined TBWA in 2013 as director of digital strategy and content planning, and he has worked for the brands GoDaddy, Michelin, and Sport Chek. Prior to TBWA, Spicer was director of digital strategy at Fallon.
Schmitt and Guidotti have worked together for over 17 years at various agencies and in their own freelance creative collaborations. They lead a creative team across TBWA's New York and Paris offices. Prior to that, they worked for three years at Mcgarrybowen New York, where they developed campaigns for Chevron, JPMorgan Chase, and Roundabout Theatre Company. Additionally, the duo founded and served as creative directors at Mighty Splinter, their proprietary creative collaboration as well as at Spring, -- a group of writers, designers, filmmakers and brand consultants.
Souter has been with TBWA/Chiat/Day since 2004, when he joined as an associate broadcast producer and he was later promoted to group executive producer. He has produced film, television, digital and experiential content for Michelin, Kraft, Aboslut, Jameson, Skittles and Planters.
Reason2Be has added Elaine Lee as digital strategist. Her hire comes on the heels of Reason2Be's new partnership structure, where former Campfire president, Jeremiah Rosen, joined partners, Peter Corbett, Jessica Adams and Tim Dingersen. Prior to joining Reason2Be, Lee worked as a strategic planner at Digital Brand Architects. She has experience in social media strategy.
