For Mike Hughes, the Martin Agency's longtime creative leader and president, the last 18 months have been some of the most special in his nearly three decades at the shop, during which Martin exploded from a regional player in Richmond, Va., to an agency admired the world over. Besides churning out great work for Microsoft, Expedia and Geico, a growing priority under Mr. Hughes' watch has also been social responsibility.
Mr. Hughes on passing the baton to Wieden & Kennedy alum John Norman: "Look at his background as a creative director and a designer working on everything from consumer accounts to tech accounts to business-to-business accounts.
