Rainier "Box Trap Mansuit"
The Art Directors Club today announced the winners of its 84th Annual Awards, signaling the offical beginning of awards season. The ADC presented 12 Gold medals across the Hybrid, Advertising and Interactive categories, along with 39 Silver Medals and dozens of distinctive merit and merit honors. The sole Gold in the Hybrid category went to Cole & Weber/Red Cell, which won for its multi-channel effort for Rainier Beer. Titled "Remember Rainier," the cross-platform campaign includes television spots, a website and a weekly late night program hosted by two rabid Rainier fans.

Adidas "Haile"
In the Advertising competition, two Gold Medals were awarded to Euro RSCG Flagship/Thailand for a television campaign for Soken DVD players, while Arnold Worldwide scored two Golds for work for the American Legacy Foundation. Adidas also won two Gold cubes -- one for an Olympic sponsorship campaign from 180/Amsterdam and another for a trio of special effects stunners ("Carry," "Unstoppable" and "Improvisation") from TBWA/Chiat/Day/San Francisco. Canadian agency Zig also won a Gold for its Lion-winning "Prison Visitor" spot for Unilever, while South Africa's Net#Work BBDO earned one for a guerrilla execution for Ghost Pops. The two professional Golds for Interactive, meanwhile, went to Canadian agency Taxi for work for MINI.

All the winners will be honored at the ADC's annual gala on June 2 at the ADC Gallery in Manhattan.
