Adidas goes All Black

Published on .

Adidas is back on the art therapy kick, this time with New Zealand's national rugby team, the All Blacks (named so after their uniform color, natch). The All Blacks are the top-ranked team in international rugby and outside of Lord of the Rings, Flight of the Conchords and sheep, probably the most recognizable symbol from this small island nation. Aside from a historically impressive win-loss record, the All Blacks are perhaps most known for their pre-game ritual of performing a traditional New Zealand Maori posture dance called the haka. Though not always a war dance, the haka performed by the All Blacks is meant to inspire the team while intimidating opponents. One look at it and you'll see why it works so well. Of course, the team's actual rugby skills may also have something to do with it.
