Apple, Chiat/Day Unveil New Notebooks

Published on .

Apple: Going to extremes.
Tuesday, at the Macworld Conference & Expo in San Francisco, Apple chief Steve Jobs unveiled two new products and an ad to go with them. The products are 12-inch and 17-inch versions of the G4 PowerBook, billed as the smallest and largest of their kind. The spot, from TBWA/Chiat/Day/Los Angeles and director Kinka Usher, features Troyer and Ming settling in for a long airplane ride, each with his own out of proportion laptop.
