Black, the latest action game from Electronic Arts, is a first-person shooting bonanza in which the guns are the heroes, and so no characters appear in the spot from Wieden + Kennedy/Amsterdam directed by Sean Ellis of RSA, just bullet-riddled scenery set to the orchestration of Verdi's La Traviata. An elaborate and expensive state room is turned into Swiss cheese as the camera pans over a piano, columns and several busts. Among the destruction, we see a flat-panel television depicting footage from the game, before everything combusts and fades to black.
