BBDO Breaks New Visa Effort

Published on .

Visa: Checks and balances.
BBDO/New York rolled out three new Visa spots this week, featuring appearances by Frasier's Jane Leeves, NFL twins Tiki and Ronde Barber, and Charlie and Martin Sheen. In the "Sheens" spot, directed by Hungry Man's Allen Coulter, Charlie has such a hard time cashing a check without Visa's help that, by the end of the spot, he has morphed into Martin. The spot broke last night during The West Wing on NBC.

In the spot starring Frasier's Leeves, directed by Erich Joiner of Tool of North America, the actress thinks she's met a cashier who's a big fan, only to find that the clerk is this nice to everybody because of Visa's "Share Your Holidays" promotion. In the third spot, directed by Harvest's Frank Samuels, the identical Barbers present some identification problems for a vigilant cashier.
