Biscuit Filmworks and Tool of North America led the pack among production companies last night at the New York debut of the Association of Independent Commercial Producers' annual installment of The Art & Technique of the American Television Commercial
. Both companies received seven honors across the show's 24 categories. Anonymous Content, Partizan and RSA received four honors each.
With the director's work accounting for all seven of Biscuit's honors, DGA-winner Noam Murro was the most-honored director of the night on the strength of work for Adidas, Holiday Inn, eBay and Starbucks. Francois Vogel, who works out of Paranoid Projects: Tool, was honored in four categories, all for his "Picture Book" campaign for HP.
Unsurprisingly, the three agencies that tied for the most honors -- Fallon, Goodby, Silverstein & Partners and TBWA/Chiat/Day, all with seven -- accounted for all the winning work by both Murro and Vogel. Fallon worked with Murro on Starbucks and Holiday Inn; TBWA worked with Murro on Adidas; while Goodby worked with Murro on eBay and with Vogel on HP. RSA's Jake Scott and Partizan's Traktor claimed three honors each.
