New from stop-motion maven PES and New York's Margeotes Fertitta Powell is "Human Skateboard," a spot for Sneaux skate shoes depicting a guy facedown on the pavement moving as if he was a skateboard while being flipped and ridden. The conceit isn't brand new, but this is where the idea is well-executed: with a bigger budget and technical skills PES and MFP were able to extend the spirit of the web with a quality piece of video that inspires its fan base while paying homage to it. At the Sneaux website originators of the human skateboard in stop motion are given props while ingredients to make your own video, including sound effects, guidelines and tags to group your work with the rest are available.
