Boulder Agency Creates Fiery Prevention Message

Published on .

Cultivator: Fighting fire with fire.
In the wake of the worst wildfire in Colorado history, Boulder agency Cultivator Advertising & Design has launched an outdoor campaign aimed at encouraging campers to be careful with fire. The campaign includes four executions -- three posters and one billboard -- that are badly charred, driving home the "Stop Playing with Fire Colorado" tagline.

The posters were produced by Nashville's famed Hatch Show Print and then individually singed by hand. The billboard, which reads "Consider this your fire alarm Denver" and looks as though it's about to fall off its frame, was donated by Viacom in Denver.

The campaign, which begins running this week, will be distributed via tourist offices at camping desitnations in Colorado and Arizona. Additional credits to CD/art director Chris Beatty and CD/copywriter Tim Abare.
