Boyko Beefs Up VCU Board

In his first big move since taking over as managing director of the VCU AdCenter in Richmond, Va., former Ogilvy & Mather chief creative officer Rick Boyko has announced a dramatic expansion of the ad school's board of directors. Drawing from the agency, client and production sides, the expansion aims to represent what Boyko describes in a statement as "a much broader view of advertising."

The new board, which is expanding from 15 to 36 members, includes such industry heavy hitters as Berlin Cameron's Andy Berlin, Alex Bogusky of Crispin Porter + Bogusky, Wieden + Kennedy's Hal Curtis, Jon Kamen of, Arnold Worldwide's Ron Lawner, Publicis Worldwide's Dave Droga and Bob Scarpelli of DDB. Boyko has also added an advisory board that includes top-flight creative directors Lee Clow, Phil Dusenberry, Neil French, Jeff Goodby, John Hegarty, Bill Westbrook and Dan Wieden.
