The Brooklyn Brothers, the New York and London creative agency, has opened an office in Brazil specializing in digital production.
The office will be headed by Henrique Souza and Leandro Monteiro (pictured), both long-time collaborators of The Brooklyn Brothers. It will be based in Curitiba; a key city in the booming Brazilian economy. Said Souza, in a statement: "Curitiba has one of the fastest growing economies in Brazil and is the largest economy of southern Brazil, ranking fourth country-wide. It's considered the best place to live in the country due to its infrastructure and city planning. It's also close to the beach, which is nice."
Souza was previously a designer at the Brazilian graphic design agency Komm. He had worked for BB New York for three years before returning to Brazil to start the new shop. His long-time collaborator Monteiro had previously worked at Livenet Interactive Media in Curitiba.
The new shop will serve both Brooklyn Brothers' London office, which opened in 2008, and its original New York base as well as local clients. Brooklyn Brothers' clients have included Axe, CNN.com, the BBC and the Knowledge Generation Bureau (kgb).
