Ogilvy's Pandey
Piyush Pandey, group president and national creative director of Ogilvy & Mather, Mumbai, India, has been named president of the Film and Press & Outdoor juries for the 2004 International Advertising Festival in Cannes, festival organizers announced today. According to a statement from festival chairman Roger Hatchuel, Pandey's appointment provides an "opportunity to recognize the work and contribution that is increasingly being made throughout Asia." Ogilvy's offices in India garnered five Lions at last year's festival -- two Golds, two Silvers and one Bronze -- three in Press & Outdoor and two in the Lions Direct competition.

Meanwhile, R/GA chairman and chief creative officer Robert Greenberg has been named president of the Cyber Lions jury, a year after R/GA won four Lions for its online work for Nike. Alexander Schmidt-Vogel, worldwide CEO of MediaCom, will head up the Media Lions jury, while Draft Worldwide chairman and CEO Howard Draft will serve as president of the Lions Direct panel.
