Carmichael Lynch Wins Grand Kelly

Published on .

Last night at the Kelly Awards in New York, Minneapolis agency Carmichael Lynch took home the top prize, the Grand Kelly, for its 2002 print campaign for Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Sponsored by the Magazine Publishers of America, the Kellys honor excellence in magazine advertising. The Harley-Davidson campaign, which bested 24 other finalists, features lush photography of American landscapes and snappy headlines extolling the virtues of riding a Harley.

Campaigns for McIlhenny's Tabasco sauce and Nike also received honors last night. A Tabasco campaign from DDB/Dallas featuring McIlhenny's distinctive label and over-the-top copy describing how hot the stuff is was awarded the Silver Kelly, while Wieden & Kennedy's "Enjoy The Weather" print campaign for Nike won the Gold.
