Cooper Exits Imaginary Forces

Published on .

Influential designer Kyle Cooper has exited Imaginary Forces, the company he co-founded, to pursue other opportunities, including directing live-action features and commercials. Cooper, known for groundbreaking titles work on feature films like Seven, and more recently, Spider-Man and Identity, will join longtime friend and collaborator Garson Yu at LA-based design shop Yu+ Co.

Cooper says the split with IF was friendly and that he was simply ready to pursue other creative avenues at a smaller company. While Yu + Co will continue its film title work -- the company is currently designing the opening for Ang Lee's The Hulk -- Yu and Cooper will also pursue other content projects. Cooper is currently developing a feature film and a video game and says he will also move further into directing live-action commercials. -Teressa Iezzi
