In the December/January issue, which hits mailrooms this week, Creativity's editors name Miami's Crispin Porter + Bogusky the magazine's 2002 Agency of the Year. The agency has won the honor before, back in 2000, for breaking onto the national scene with its work for the Florida Department of Health and the American Legacy Foundation. This time around, they've earned the honor with a slew of new A-list business and the creative work to match, for clients like Mini, Ikea and Molson. To read the complete case for CP+B, view their work and read notes on the runners-up click here. In addition to the Agency of the Year honor, CP+B also earned a Campaign of the Year nod for its work on the TV-free launch of BMW's Mini. Saturn: "Sheet Metal" without the sheet metal.
Competition for Spot of the Year was stiff in 2002, but in the end, Goodby, Silverstein's ballet of carless drivers for Saturn -- impeccably directed by Biscuit's Noam Murro -- won out. There were several runners-up, which you can read about, and view, by clicking here. Finally, MJZ, which set people talking last year after signing Spike Jonze, Kuntz & Maguire and Dante Ariola, came through with a reel to back its investment and is Creativity's Production Company of the Year.
