Four months after opening in an abandoned firehouse -- and during one of the worst advertising economies on record -- the Los Angeles office of Miami-based agency Crispin Porter & Bogusky has made a score. The branch has been awarded the account for Fine Living, a new cable channel being launched in March by Scripps Networks, the company behind HGTV and the Food Channel. "It's very exciting," says Crispin West chief Sally Hogshead. "It's a great brand for us to work on; there's huge creative potential; and it's a chance to launch a brand from scratch." Hogshead says the outpost -- which has been busy collaborating with the home office on upcoming pitches for Earthlink and Ikea -- won over the nascent network with untraditional, guerilla marketing ideas for publicizing its March 17 launch.
