Jacobs and Premutico have yet to announce their future plans, but several sources say the two left to open their own agency. They resigned last Friday after just over two years at the agency, joining in May 2005 from Saatchi & Saatchi, London.
Work under Jacobs and Premutico has garnered the agency nearly every creative award, including Agency of they Year at this year's Cannes Lions. The two have been credited as a major part of the agency's creative turnaround.
When contacted, Jacobs and Premutico were unable to elaborate on future plans. Though they've left the agency, the duo remains contractually obligated to Saatchi through October, which restricts them from speaking freely about upcoming ventures.
"I've worked with Jan & Leo for many years and am naturally proud of their creative achievements," Saatchi New York chief creative officer Tony Granger said in a statement to Creativity Online. "But I always encourage people to follow their dreams and I wish these guys much continued success."
