EA and See Revisit Pearl Harbor

Published on .

EA presents a chilling view of Pearl Harbor.
Odiorne, Wilde, Narraway & Partners -- which has rebranded itself as See, following the departures of Jeff Odiorne and Michael Wilde -- offers a chilling view of Pearl Harbor in a new spot for EA Games' Medal of Honor: Rising Sun.

Directed by Randy Roberts of Rhythm + Hues, the spot begins with placid underwater footage, which is interrupted by bodies jumping into the water. This could still just be a fish-eye view of spring break, however, until the viewpoint breaks the surface to reveal screaming bombers overhead, as the scene breaks seamlessly to actual game action. Gaming ads are always torn between narrative and game footage. This effort balances them beautifully.
