This weekend at the Beurs van Berlage in Amsterdam, Eurobest announced its 2009 winners, with Belgium and Germany walking away as the most awarded countries with 49 honors each. France was runner up with 35 wins, followed by the U.K. with 32, Sweden with 28 and The Netherlands with 22 honors.
Among the Grand Prix winners were BETC Euro RSCG, Paris and Tribal DDB Amsterdam, which earned the top honor in TV/Cinema for Canal+: "The Closet" and Philips "Carousel," respectively.
Euro RSCG's Switzerland office earned the top nod for a print campaign for the Zurich Chamber Orchestra, while Robert/Boisen and Like-Minded Copenhagen took the Outdoor Grand Prix for Suzuki Gas Station. The Interactive Grand Prix went to Happiness Brussels for its Toyota IQ Font, while Ogilvy France took home the show's first Craft Grand Prix for its Mattel Scrabble campaign.
Ogilvy France also earned the Eurobest Agency of the Year award, while Happiness Brussels was named Interactive Agency of the Year. The show announced its first ever Network of the Year, DDB; and its first Advertiser of the Year, which went to Guinness.
