Balls III, Wrath of Balls or the third mega "Color Like No Other" Bravia spot started shooting in Lower Manhattan last week, featuring Play Doh bunnies frolicking through Foley Square.
The spot, directed by Gorgeous' Frank Budgen out of Fallon, London, will be stop-motion and, considering the stars and the shoot location, less explosive than "Paint," the Gold Lion-winning sequel to the massively successful art-film-as-advertising "Balls," directed by Nicolai Fuglsig, with music by singer-songwriter Jose Gonzalez.
Sony's not keeping too mum about all this, with Sony Europe PR Ruth SpeakmanTwittering from set and SoHo House and a revival of the Bravia Blog.
Locals lamented the departure of a 30-foot tall rabbit, in place Monday but gone by Tuesday. One police officer hanging around the station on Lafayette just north of Worth said he would have liked to visit the bunny late at night, to shoot it a few times with his pistol and see what happened. Luckily he didn't get a chance before Another Anomaly co-founder Duncan Bird shot some photos; see more in his Flickr set or visit his blog.
