A little more than a month after launching San Francisco-based agency Fancy, ECD/partners Mauro Alencar and Geoff Edwards have announced their first creative hires at the new shop, adding Mark Krajan and DJ Neff.

"It's just a great opportunity to work with people who really trust what you do and believe in you," says Neff. "I've worked with Geoff in the past and it was always just a good environment. Working with these guys the ideas just flow."

Neff heads to San Francisco from Deutsch, Los Angeles, where he worked on Sony Playstation. He also had stints at Crispin, Porter & Boguski in Miami and Boulder.

The move marks a return to the Bay Area for Krajan, who comes from TBWAChiatDay, Los Angeles where he moved after six years at McCann Worldgroup and T.A.G. in San Francisco.

"Geoff and Mauro are amazing talents, obviously, everyone knows that but they also have integrity," says Krajan. "A lot of the bullshit processes are stripped away here and the focus is on the ideas. We're not getting bogged down in things like if we're talking to the right person at the right time. If we have an idea, we just go and say to Geoff or Mauro, 'What do you think about this?'"

Adds Neff, "It's the kind of place where we can move quickly and smart, and it's a lot of fun."
