  • In news pertaining to mankind's current aim to wean itself from the fast-depleting teat of fossil fuels, electric auto start-up A Better Place has secured a significant chunk of change towards its aims to set-up on Danish soil, which hopes to be in place by 2011.   • Much like the event itself, Super Bowl logo design has often been an overindulgent barf of color and spectacle. Which is cool, if wear that hat. But in an effort to see what could have been, the NY Times had the inspired idea to recruit a slew of designers to sketch up their own ideas. Participants include folks from Pentagram, Seattle's Modern Dog Design, Aaron Draplin of Portland, OR's Draplin Design Co. and more.
