Feedbag: Art of the Title, Life Imitates Art and Movies of 2009

  • A great place for anyone interested in nerding out on film titles. Some classic ones -- Raging Bull, Repo Man -- and some we completely forgot about but that remain no less impressive, like Natural Born Killers.

  • Well, they stole some inspiration from the opening sequence of the Anonymous Content director's feature film Snatch. You know, where Benicio Del Toro dresses up as a Hasidic Jew to steal a pile of diamonds in Antwerp? Yep, this looks like pretty much the same thing except in Manhattan, and we're fairly sure Mr. Del Toro has nothing to do with it. Hopefully no enterprising thief/film buff takes this as a nod to try and imitate the bookie robbery that comes later in the movie.

  • Film School Rejects countdown the flicks in the coming year that they're most excited to see and we certainly agree with many of them. Between The Watchmen, Wolverine, a Friday the 13th remake, new twists on Star Trek and Terminator, the sixth Harry Potter, a Quentin Tarantino WWII epic, Spike Jonze's Where The Wild Things Are, Robert Downey Jr and Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes, Ricky Gervais playing the only man on earth who ever told a lie (This Side of the Truth), and a hell of a lot more, our heads are already about to explode.
