Goodby Breaks WSJ Campaign

Published on .

Yesterday, as The Wall Street Journal rolled out its much awaited redesign, Goodby, Silverstein & Partners rolled out a new campaign to explain the benefits of the new look Journal and its newest section, "Personal Journal." The campaign features a live-action spokesperson rendered in the paper's distinctive illustration style as he makes his pitch from the paper's front page. The live-action portion of the campaign was shot by Jim Barton of Picture Park and animated by San Francisco's Wild Brain, which developed a hybrid of rotoscoping and animation techniques to bring "Stipple Guy" to life.
