The family of Tim Royes has announced the funeral and wake details for the director, who had been repped out of Academy Films and had also spent six years at RSA.

The Chapel of Rest, Kenyons (83 Westbourne Grove, London, W24UL) will be available for visits on Wednesday, August 20th, 12:00PM to 4:PM and on Thursday, August 30 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. All are welcome to funeral service on Friday, August 31 at 1pm at London's Golders Green Crematorium (Hoop Lane NW11).

Royes was fatally struck by a car in Manhattan earlier this month, and his death has saddened and shocked the industry. He started his career as a runner at Rushes, then became a fulltime editor cutting videos for Guns N' Roses and director Sam Bayer. He then earned acclaim as a director, on clips for Elton John, Holly Valance and more recently for The View, Ghosts, and Melanie C. Royes had also recently returned to the edit bay to cut three Green Day videos for Sam Bayer, earning the 2005 best MTV VMA best editing award for "Boulevard of Broken Dreams." Besides leaving an impressive creative footprint, Royes was also much loved for his warm heart and generous spirit.

Following Friday's funeral service, there will be an afternoon/evening of remembrance for Tim. Details will be listed on Tim's website, where you can also share your memories of him and donate to his favorite charities.
