TBWA, the Andys' top network, won 8 cubes and BBDO took 6 cubes, including gold for the BBC Cables campaign.
Nordpol + Hamburg's Epuron "Power of Wind," directed by The Vikings, Saatchi & Saatchi New York's Tide-to-Go "Interview," spot directed by Calle Astrand, and its Tide Ultra "Stains Don't Stand a Chance," print campaign and Goodby, Silverstein & Partners "Get the Glass" site for Milk won gold at both the ADC and Andy awards.
The second annual Corbis Creativity for Social Justice Award went to both TAXI's "15 Below Jacket,"a low-cost weatherproof coat for the homeless that uses crumpled newspaper for insulation, and Burnett's PRODIS campaign. The 30-second spot demonstrates that education is central for people with Down syndrome to become fully integrated into society by allowing affected kids to create and shoot an ad and movie trailer.
