25-year-old production company HKM and partner company Rock Fight have merged to launch a new venture, hello & Co. The former rosters of both shops, which, combined, featured 18 directors, have been trimmed and merged into a smaller, 8-director lineup: Pep Bosch, Mark Gilbert, David Horowitz, Jacobsbriere, Michael Patrick Jann, Michael Karbelnikoff, Walter Kehr and Matt Smukler. Former HKM and Rock Fight executive producers Ned Brown, Carl Swan and Melissa Culligan will retain their EP roles at the new venture. Co-owner/director Michael Karbelnikoff, who had also been co-owner of HKM and Rock Fight said in a statement, "We have come so far over the years, this just seemed like a natural and smart next step: taking the best of two entities and making it one strong and concise company."

"We felt the need to bring together and consolidate the directors and producers of both companies to have a more powerful company," adds EP Melissa Culligan. "We are creating a more dynamic roster in which we can all work together and the directors can all feed off each other's unique strengths and talents. We are all a family, and ultimately it is a truthful way to be viewed in the community. As one whole."
