June is for long walks on the beach. And our June Issue.
Published on .
Well, you made it. Halfway through the year 2007. Congrats. To celebrate the month with the longest days, we've decided to release our June issue in which directors take center stage. Our cover story points the lens the other way to profile the industry's finest, including Noam Murro, Dante Ariola, Michel Gondry and flexible coverboy Randy Krallman. The directorial love-in doesn't stop there, as we wrangled 13 top talents together to talk about the job and the issues they face today in one of our infamous roundtables. Also, meet the man at Tate who teamed up with Fallon/London for Tate Tracks and other ideas to make art attractive and accessible. We also asked AICE award-winning editors to go behind the scenes on their cuts. This includes the debut of our new video series "The Breakdown," in which we ask talents in the industry to give us voice-over and video play by plays of their work. Here, editors Carlos Lowenstein and Jake Jacobsen created films explaining how they edited their awarded spots.
Don't forget to hit the Spot Gallery of work featured in the magazine. And hey, why not pick up a copy of the mag, too? Inside you'll meet tattoo artist Scott Campbell and his design studio Mama Tried, see Ridley Scott's artistic rendition of his family, get an in-depth look at the AICE Awards and more. As for 2007, enjoy the second half.
